The Magnuson-Moss Warranty act is a Federal Law that protects the buyer of any product that costs more than $25 and comes with an express written warranty. Each state has created its own warranty statutes using the Magnuson-Moss as a starting point. Most states have also added specific statutes that cover automobile warranties based upon the Magnison-Moss Act.
